User Roles and Permissions

Anyone with a valid NetID can log in to a Drupal site maintained by Trinity Web Support. However, simply being logged in does not provide a user with editing access. In order to add or edit content, a user must have at least one role. Each role has varying degrees of permissions which provide the ability to perform specific functions.

Trinity Communications and Trinity Web Support can delegate roles to user accounts. When you need to provide access to a new editor (or revoke access from an editor who no longer needs access), please reach email trinitycomms@duke.edu.

Below is a list of roles and associated permissions. Note that a few sites have unique functionality and thus have additional roles with permissions that provide the ability to use that functionality. If you are unsure what role you have on your site, or if your site has unique feature and roles, please contact trinitywebsupport@duke.edu.
