Working with video

Video content can be added to your site provided your videos have been uploaded to either YouTube or Vimeo. Videos must include captioning, a requirement to meet Duke Web Accessibility Guidelines.

  1. Go to the page or block where you want to add a video
  2. Click the Edit tab
  3. Place the cursor in a rich text field (e.g. the Body field) where you wish to add the video
  4. Click the Embed Video button Embed video button.
  5. You can select an existing video that has been previously uploaded under the Library tab
  6. OR You can add a new video under the Add New YouTube or Vimeo Video tab
  7. For a new video, provide a name, the video URL. The optional Video Description field will only be shown as a caption under a video when it is used in a Video Gallery Paragraph.
  8. Click Save Video, then click Next
  9. Select a display mode for your video, Wide (full-width in the content area) or Medium (75% of the width of the content area). Video elements are intended to fill the width of the content area, and as such, the alignment options do not apply.
  10. Save the change to the page by clicking Save
