Used for short, time-sensitive messages such as announcing the cancellation of an event. An announcement can postdated, meaning it will not display until the Start date, and it will be removed following arrival of the End date. Announcements can be assigned to specific Basic pages, and a sites front page can be configured to display a maximum of three items in a carousel. To add an announcement, select Content ⇒ Add content ⇒ Announcement from the administration toolbar.
