Not all sites are configured to display announcement content. If you would like to start using this content type, please contact Trinity Communications for an initial consultation regarding how this could work with your site and where you want the content to be displayed.
Announcements are only used on some websites. If you know that your site is set up to display announcements, you can follow the instructions below to create one. If you are interested in adding announcements to your website, please contact the Trinity Communications team to discuss whether using announcements makes sense for your group.
- Select Content ⇒ Add Content ⇒ Announcement from the admin menu
- Fill in the following fields:
- Start Date
- End Date - This date and time determines when the announcement will expire and no longer be displayed
- Image (optional)
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
How to display
There is one view available designed to display this content as a carousel on the front page of a site. It is configured to display a maximum of three items whose End Date is later than the current date. The items that display in the carousel are sorted in ascending order by the Start Date.
